Rwanda maintains its gorilla tracking permit prices

Many tourists especially those interested in gorilla trekking have been waiting for Rwanda to reduce the tracking permit prices after Uganda has reduced its prices to $350 for the months of May and November. However, there is no hope that the cost will reduce as the government has kept silent about it for a long time now.Currently,a gorilla tracking permit in Rwanda costs $750 a price that is higher than that of Uganda.

Reducing the price of gorilla permits is seen as a way of attracting tourists especially those who travel with an aim of seeing the rare primates in their natural habitats. But Rwanda believes even with that cost, visitors will still tour the company because of the uniqueness of the experience availed to them.

Mountain gorillas are one of the endangered rare species in the world only found in 3 countries including;- Uganda,Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo.A total of about 900 mountain gorillas is estimated to be left in the world and half of this is found in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.Other places where they are found include Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park and DRC's Virunga NP.With increasing competition among the 3 countries, the only competitive tool to use is reduction of the trekking permits a thing Rwanda has not yet adopted.

The fact that seeing a mountain gorilla is a hustle makes the gorilla permits competitive and a visitor is expected to book for them in time to avoid inconveniences. Some visitors risk traveling without booking the permits and end up spending more time than planned as they wait for gorilla permits. It is therefore better to use a credible tour company which will obtain a gorilla permit for you before you jet into the country.

Rwanda and Uganda are the best destinations when it comes to Gorilla tracking because of the peace and certainty of meeting a gorilla family.Democratic Republic of Congo is politically unstable and this puts the life of the visitors in danger. Also its gorillas keep on moving from one plavce to another crossing the boarders and this makes it hard to view them.

UWA, NGO sign deal to boost tourism in Uganda

Yesterday, the long awaited deal was finally signed by both Lilly Ajarova, the Executive Director of Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust and Andrew Sseguya, the Executive director, the Executive Director of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA).The signing of the memorandum of Understanding  was done at Lake Victoria Hotel in Entebbe.

This was one the key achievements the Uganda tourism industry was waiting for since it will help to bring the various organs of the sector to work together in  bid to promote development. The memorandum of Understanding will see these two organs work together and also train their stuff together. It will smooth the various activities in both parties and enhance prosperity.

Seguya said that protection of the forests is one of the key issues that must be encouraged in this era if  Uganda is to continue benefiting from the tourism sector. This is because wild animals live in these forests and once they are destroyed, these animals will perish. He therefore urge The Chimpanzee Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Trust (CSWCT)
body to come and work together with UWA since they share a common goal.

The main objective of this deal signed is to create awareness among the community so that the tourism sector is handled in an efficient and effective manner.

Lilly Ajarova, the Executive Director of Chimpanzee Sanctuary also welcomed the partnership saying that it will promote the conservation of chimpanzees and the environment. She said that there is more need by the government to secure more land for the wild animals since tourism is the leading revenue source to this East African country.

Uganda is one of the leading destinations for chimpanzee trekking and many visitors from different parts of the world come to look a
t these human-like apes. However, for the past few years the primates have been under threat due to the increased deforestation that has left their homes destroyed. It is this that the government and various NGO's set up some chimpanzee sanctuaries to make sure that these magnificent primates don't perish.

Uganda and Rwanda Safari tour wonders

Uganda and Rwanda combined i must say are the best tourism destination in Africa because of the presence of various attractions that are worth viewing. With the presence of the hard-to find mountain gorillas in these two countries, many tourists have been attracted to East Africa simply to look at the rare primates.Gorilla trekking in Uganda and Rwanda are the leading tourism activities and this explains why 70% of the visitor specifically come to trek the elegant apes.

A mountain gorilla

A lot has been written about these great nations for example the Rwanda genocide but less is known about the tourism treasure that can spice up a safari tour. Some people visit these countries on different missions but as they spend some couple of days, they get attracted to the beauty that surround the whole place. In doing this, they end up spending more days enjoying some thrilling lifetime activities like hiking on the mountains, gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, cultural tours, nature walks, game viewing, bird watching, boat rides and many more. These experiences change their lives because of the guaranteed adventure and this prompts them to come back almost every year.

I know if you have never traveled to Uganda and Rwanda you cant believe this but once you take your first step in any of these East African countries, you will be amazed by what you will see. It is not all about going the the national parks to view the wild animals, but in any part of Uganda and Rwanda, you can have a wonderful moment.

Uganda has about 10 national park which you can visit and get a chance of seeing some of the rare wild animals in their natural habitats.Rwanda has 3 national parks which are easily accessed on a safari tour. While in the parks, you will get a chance of viewing different wild animals including the lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, gorillas, baboons, crocodiles, red-tailed monkeys, giraffes, zebras, elands, snakes, and many more. These animals are easily see on a game drive especially during the afternoon hours because they come out of the forests and gather around the different water bodies to sip some water.

A combined safari tour itinerary to Uganda and Rwanda is possible since these countries are neighbors and we can arrange this for you at a low cost. All you need to do is to inquire with us and we shall prepare a suitable combined itinerary which will be sent to you for adjustments. We shall cater for all your movements while on your Uganda and Rwanda safari tour.

However,if you are interested in gorilla trekking, you are required to book as early as possible because we have to obtain a mountain gorilla trekking permit before yo are allowed to view the primates in their natural habitats. The main reason why you should do book as early as possible is because it is too competitive
to obtain a gorilla trekking permit especially during a peak season.
